Abstract
A review is made for 60 cases of acute occlusive arterial diseases admitted at Hallym University Haspitals from march 1986 to July 1995.
Operative mortality and amputation rate were 19% respectively and the recurrence rate was 17%. Arterial thrombosis with systemic atherosclerosis showed poor prognosis(P<0.05). However, other factors such as age, sex, associated diseases, site of
occlusion, time lapsed from onset of symptoms to initiation of treatment, methods of anesthesia and types of operation did not show significant correlation to prognosis(P>0.05).
Also, even though slightly better end-result was cognizable with treatment group within 24hours of onset of symptoms, no statistical significance was present compared with over 24hours group(P>0.05).
This fat perhaps suggestive of relation with other factors such as premanagement status of patient, severity of original diseases and delay at primary care unit other than simple and linear relation with time lapse or golden time.
